News and History of The Georgian House Bed and Breakfast in Portland Oregon.

The Georgian Colonial Architectural style originated in England about 1702 and was named after the King George's.  There are only three true Georgian colonial homes in Portland.  This home was built in 1922 by George Schneider.  For "good luck", George placed several gold coins in the foundation of the house.
This home has recently been lovingly restored.  It features leaded glass windows throughout, a wonderful and commanding winding staircase that leads you to the up stairs rooms. Built in china cabinets, oak floors, sun porch and fireplace complete the old world charm of this spacious and elegant home.
A truly classic home, gardens featured in "Better Homes and Gardens Magazine".

Guests are always welcome in the common area.  To enjoy the fireplace, and antiques, including the exquisite train table.
